Wow You Are Fast....

One of the things that I hate about doing my own nails is waiting for the polish to dry. It seems like no matter what time I do my nails at, one of my boys needs me and before I know it my nails look like hot mess. I heard about this top coat polish from a girl I follow on the infamous YouTube and decided to check it out and all I can say is it works!!! This bad boy dried in less than 3 minute!! So if you are like me and are a mommy on the go you should definitely try this top coat, you literally put it on and you are Out The Door!

Hope this is helpful let me know if you try it out :)

Family Days

There are days when we get in the car and go where the road takes us. On the beautiful Spring day we came across a farm that was hosting their annual fundraiser and were allowing the public to come in and pick their own strawberries. The farm was called Fancy Farms (love the name of course:) ) and they had the juiciest strawberries I had ever seen! The boys had a blast!! Chris was picking away and Carlos was enjoying his brothers labor, he was going to town on the juicy strawberries!!

We got all these strawberries for $ 3.00 yes $3.00 dollars!!!!

If you are interested in taking your family to pick some yummy strawberries you can take them to Spivey Farms in Plant City they started their season today March 20. Here is their website so you can find more information http://www.myspiveyfarms.com/upick.htm . This will definitely be a fun experience for the family :) . Hope you enjoy!!

Going Wild

On the nails that is! I know I'm a little late on The Katy Perry Collection for OPI  but I wasn't sure if was going to like it so I really didn't check it out, however, on a recent trip to Ulta I got to see it and fell in love with the Black Shatter polish. I did like the polish The One That Got Away and Not Like The Movies from the collection so I will be making another trip to Ulta this weekend. When I get the colors I will update this post so I can share it with you guys :)

This polish is very easy to use. First apply your base color, let it dry for a few minutes and then apply a thin layer of the Black Shatter polish and within seconds you see it do its thing. I paired Black Shatter with a bright pink color by OPI Pink Flamenco and it turn out super cute. Christopher (my son) thought that it was cool to see it shatter :) . This is not a look I will go to the office in but it sure is fun for the weekend, I totally love it!!!

Hope you guys enjoy! Let me know what you think :)

Spice up your RICE!!!

Ingredients:

2 cups of extra long grain rice (I personally prefer Riceland or Mahatma)
1/4 cup of vegetable oil (that dont matter they are all FAT lol )
1 tablespoon of salt
a piece of onion
a piece of green pepper
small ripe tomato
2 1/2 cups of water

**This will feed a family of 4, double the portions for a bigger family :)

Fry the onion and pepper in a 1/4 cup of vegetable oil on medium heat. Let it fry of about 5 minutes before  you add the rice. Wash the rice while the onion and pepper are frying.

Add the 2 cups of rice. Fry the rice with the onion and pepper for a few minutes.

Add 1 table spoon of salt.

Cut up a ripe tomato. We are going to use the tomato to give the rice color.

Once the tomato has cooked and the rice has a nice reddish tint add the water and increse the heat to high ( as high as your stove allows)

When the water boils cover the pot and let it cook in low heat. ( the lowest your stove allows)
I tried to get a pic and this is the best i could do lol )
*don't let it boil too long as soon as most pot is boiling  your are ready to go

Cover the rice and do not uncover for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes uncover and move the rice around, if you feel it is too tender use the lid pour a little bit of water and cover again for a few minutes. The reason I say to use the lid is because its hot and it will warm the water a  bit.

And VOILA you have some yummy rice for your family!!!

Let me know if you will try it and how it turns out!! Enjoy!!

So Too Faced

One thing that makes me feel like a GLAM MOMMY is feeling and looking good. I love leaving the house and feeling beautiful.  Some might feel that way without an ounce of make up but not me, I LOVE makeup and love experimenting with it. My theory is, if you feel good and look good so does your family!

Typically on the weekends, when the hubby and I go on a night out on the town, I pull out all my gismos and gadgettes and go crazy with the eyes make up but when I am on the go or don't have the help of my awesome hubby, I have to use the least amount of products and still feel fabulous!

One day as  I entered an Ulta store to get my make up fix, I came across this wonderful product for the days I'm on the go, it is the The 'Too Faced - Natural Eye Kit'. This kit has everything you need to help you create the pretty, soft, and slightly sexy "natural eyes". The shadows have great pigmentation and you don't need to use a lot of product to achieve a great look. I definitely recommend this to the GLAM MOMMY on the go.

"The Natural Eye Kit"
(Excuse the smudged box but I have had this for a while now)

It comes with 6 Eye Shadows and 3 Highlighters
( you can use the highlighters as eye shadows too)

It also comes with 3 easy to follow cards that show you how to achieve a Classic, Day, and Fashion look. They have also included a small brush to help you achieve the looks. One side has a sponge applicator tip and the other a synthetic hair brush.
( I do not use the brush i am not a fan of sponge tip brushes)

Here I have created the Fashion look on my left eye and the Day look on the right eye.

Here is the Fashion Look
(unfortunately the flash washed out the color a bit )

Here is the Day look.

Hope this helps! Let me know what you guys think :)
